MHFA Standard at The Yoga Bank

Standard_logo_RGBI am delighted to have been contacted by The Yoga Bank in Widnes who are looking to train their Yoga Instructors to become Mental Health First Aiders.  The two-day Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Standard workshop will be delivered at their premises on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 October 2016.

Attendees will be able to utilise their learning in both a professional and personal capacity.  A few places may be available to external candidates.  Contact The Yoga Bank or myself if you are interested in attending.

I am really looking forward to delivering this course at The Yoga Bank in Widnes and perhaps I will learn a few moves myself.

More dates for Youth Mental Health First Aid workshops have been organised for June and September 2016.   MHFA Youth is aimed at people who are working with, caring for or teaching children and young people aged 8 – 16 years.  The course covers What is Mental Health, Depression and Anxiety, Suicide and Pschosis, Self-harm and eating disorders and focuses on the young person.

Recent testimonials include “I think the course and content are hugely valuable working in a sixth form setting and will go back and recommend that other staff take up the MHFA training”.

An excellent pace, resources clear and understandable, easy to navigate and refer back to.  Deborah was engaging, open to discussion and clearly knowledgeable and passionate about the subjects”
